The Burnside

Nestled beside the Burnhope Burn, in the picturesque village of Edmundbyers in the North Pennines; The Burnside offers a relaxing and comfortable stay in beautiful, tranquil surroundings and a full English breakfast served in our beautiful sunroom with views over the garden. Golf, fishing and sailing nearby, or stunning walks and cycling to suit any level; not to mention Hadrians Wall, Beamish Museum, The Derwent Reservoir, Hexham, Corbridge, Blanchland, Stanhope and Barnard Castle within easy reach, you will never be short of some thing to do. Our unique and comfortable cottages have central heating, bed linen and towels all included in the price and are equipped with full kitchen and bathroom facilities, there is also plenty of seating outdoors in the beautiful garden for either dining or just taking time to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. One well behaved dog is welcome, (please bring bed, bowls etc), at a charge of £10 per night which is payable on arrival. (£5/night if staying 4 days or more). The village pub is only a five minute walk away, with excellent beers and food, and there are an abundance of top class restaurants locally. Outside you can take a stroll around the eight acres of grounds and sit by the lake watching the dragonflies, moorhens and ducks, or wander by the burn and maybe catch sight of a kingfisher or heron.
